PROJECT REQUIREMENT

An inherited transfer tool required repair and maintenance - a protruding area had broken off the tool and needed to be remanufactured.

The shut-off in the tool was too hard on causing the area to become weak and eventually break off.

KEY FACTORS

The tool was transferred to our toolroom for the work to be completed.

Our toolroom modelled up the repair for the tooling - an insert will be added to remove the broken section.

Our toolmaker machined a pocket on our CNC machine to add the insert into the tool. The insert was seamlessly added back into the tool.

CURRENT STATUS

The insert has been manufactured, bedded off and the tool is ready to go back into production.

The tool has been running without any issues to production and moulding.

"In addition to being able to complete repairs in our tool room, your tool at MGS receives a personalised maintenance schedule to ensure your tooling stays production-ready."
