1. DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT

Design Intent:
Understanding your exact requirements and the purpose of the part and product, we can take your concept to working reality, ensuring that it is designed for intent.

Design for Manufacturing:
From the initial concept and working design to the full manufacturing design, at this stage, we'll work with you to create 2D and 3D CAD designs to prepare your product for production.

Prototyping:
This recommended part of the process involves creating a working prototype to ensure that the product meets the design intent before proceeding to the tooling phase.

2. TOOLING AND TOOL TRANSFERS

It begins with a detailed design review and results in a tool that balances the budget, timescale, and individual project requirements.

Our highly skilled and experienced tool-making partners, both locally and internationally, build tools to a proven specification and are rigorously tested.

This provides us with the capability of supplying multi-product suites with large numbers delivered exactly when you need them.

Our on-site tool room carries out maintenance on a tool when it arrives at our facility and throughout its life. The planned maintenance programme, linked to our ERP system, provides reliability and results in every production cycle.

We can accommodate tool transfers with minimal disruption to your business and to maintain production levels for a seamless transfer.

3. PLASTIC INJECTION MOULDING

Our facility houses modern, efficient fully automated machines ranging from 35 tonnes to 900 tonnes, producing parts over a 24/7 operation, delivered as required and when expected.

Our robust process is continuously refined to bring together the best of modern technology and highly skilled technicians to produce high-quality plastic components precisely how and when you need them.

All of our technicians are part of a training initiative that ensures that they have the skill, knowledge and experience to process polymers and optimise the injection moulding process.

Robotic-assisted production provides operators with more time to concentrate on guaranteeing the levels of quality that we expect, while the robots in operation enable greater efficiency in the process.

An automatic material system feeds the polymer directly into our machines, reducing material contamination and minimising scrap rates.

Our world-class facility incorporates Industry 4.0 providing transparency and connectivity to our departments, processes, and machinery.

We have integrated our ERP system and the 'Internet of Things' system to create efficient support for our production and processes.

4. ASSEMBLY AND PACKAGING

The projects we undertake are distinguished by their variety. As no project is like the next, the assembly process has to remain flexible too.

Part of the Plan from the Start:
From the very early discussions at the product concept stage, we’ll compare the feasibility of assembly at the press side with the benefits of using dedicated product assembly experts.

Every Option Explored:
We’ll discuss assembly by hand versus that by automation and we’ll consider a mix of techniques that include mechanical, electrical, and electronic assembly; functional testing; sonic welding; riveting; heat stake; gluing; and printing.

Our assembly and packaging team gives us the ability to provide the additional benefit of creating a retail-ready standard product.

The Extra Touches:
The capacity to add surface finishes to your products, from high-gloss textures and chrome plating, to lacquered, painted and technical finishes enables you to keep the entire plastic production process in one place.
